AC EV Charging Adapters — Type 1, Type 2, GB/T and NACS

Compare AC charging adapter directions and model-specific ratings. A matching plug shape alone does not verify vehicle or charger compatibility.

Define the product and supply scope.

Specify the charger-side connector and vehicle-side inlet separately, including the direction of use. Request the exact adapter model’s wiring, temperature limits and compatibility evidence. An AC adapter is not permission to use DC equipment or to exceed a circuit or vehicle rating.

NACS to Type 2 example
Selected MIC model lists 32 A and 110–250 V; verify wiring and compatible equipment
NACS to J1772 example
Selected MIC model lists up to 80 A / 250 V; the installed circuit and vehicle may impose lower limits
GB/T to Type 2 example
Selected model lists three-phase 32 A / 380 V / 21 kW; do not apply those ratings to other adapters
