Define the guest promise
Specify whether the service is an overnight top-up, a short visitor session or fleet readiness before a fixed departure. Record the expected energy per session and the time available. AC may be worth evaluating for longer stays; compare DC when the vehicle mix and turnaround requirement justify it. Neither choice is universal.
Make stage one useful without assuming free expansion
Draw the final desired layout, then distinguish equipment being purchased now from infrastructure reserved for later. Ask the engineer to review future cable routes, switchboard capacity and civil-work interfaces. Reserving a space does not prove electrical capacity or eliminate later construction cost.
Measure a pilot before forecasting revenue
Record completed sessions, delivered energy, occupied hours, failures and operator assistance. Use the actual electricity tariff, operating expenses and utilization assumptions in a business case. Do not quote a payback period from charger capacity alone.
Choose a supportable configuration
For space-limited commercial sites, request drawings for compact or slim DC options and compare maintenance access. Agree communications, customer instructions, payment requirements and remote support boundaries. Review any backup-power interface separately with the site designer; never connect a charger to an unassessed generator or storage system.

Should a hotel buy the highest-power charger?
Not automatically. Compare dwell time, vehicle acceptance, daily energy and the verified site limit.
Does more installed kW guarantee revenue?
No. Revenue depends on demand, successful sessions, tariff and costs, not nameplate power alone.
Can the same cabinet support future expansion?
Only if the chosen model and site design support that plan. Obtain written configuration and capacity details.
